Room to Think Meditation Room
for APDO members
Come and join other professional organisers and take a breath – whether or not you already have a meditation practice, and even if you think you ‘can’t’ meditate (yet) you’re welcome.
Tuesdays 6.00-6.30 pm. Zoom room opens at 5.50 and will close to admittance at 6.01
Fee: £60 for 10 sessions, payable in advance.
Why Meditate?
By learning to create conditions for our minds to settle, we calm our nervous systems and build resilience. The evidence base of meditation benefits is extensive and compelling. It can improve sleep, memory and concentration and ease a number of mental and physical challenges.
Format:
I’ll introduce, then guide you through a different mediation each week (10-18 mins). This could be focusing on the breath, positive mindfulness, loving kindness, visualising, body scans and more. After the meditation, we’ll be silent for a few minutes (to sit peacefully, journal etc.). Following our silence, you’re welcome to leave – I’ll hold a reflective space until 6.30pm for those remaining.
